THE CHALLENGE

Distribution network fit for bare parts and palletized spare parts
Maintain and improve lead times, providing a first-class level of service to the distributor network with day and night deliveries within 24 hours for urgent orders
Improve the service level of the current logistics provider in non-EU markets
Real-time information with tracking and tracing

CAT APPROACH

We have created a new transport plan for distribution to dealers in 9 countries: RO, BG, HR, SI, XS, AL, BA, ME, MK.

Shared linehaul system for stock orders from IT to our hubs in HR and RO
Linehauls from various warehouses in Italy and Germany to guarantee lead times to recipients
By using our existing multi-customer LTL network in South East Europe, we were able to improve the existing service level for the customer and offer a variable rates structure.
Night deliveries implemented where possible
The entire process is managed by VIA (our TMS solution), from the loading point to the final delivery

Customer-friendly EasyCAT web portal for returns management

THE RESULT

We offered integrated services throughout the market area, allowing our customer to use a single logistics provider for the entire region:

Relocation of activities from CZ to IT, DE
Optimization of transport with the consolidation of 9 countries on 1 linehaul
Improved service levels in non-EU markets
On-time information based on our IT solution, the same TMS (VIA) is used throughout all South East Europe region
Improved lead times – reduced by one day

REDUCING CO2 EMISSIONS

Thanks to the reduction in transport time caused by the optimization of 2 linehauls into 1 linehaul, we have reduced our customer’s CO2 emissions by 19 tons.
